Bio - More than you should probably know about Joe

Bio:

I began Illustrating about fifteen years ago doing mostly comic book characters and horror based icons. Being an avid horror movie and comic book fan illustrative story telling has always appealed to me and so my work is always trying to capture a special moment or action of the subject matter. I enjoy using children book icon s and making them my own. When I began painting seven years ago my subject matter varied from portraits to the abstract . Now like my illustrations my work tends to be centered around dark fantasy in a story telling manner. Most of my subjects are the fighter or the survivor with a touch of darkness added to them.

I graduated with a degree in Fine Art from the University of Massachusetts Boston.

I have a body of work up at Shays grill and pub in Monument Square in Portland Maine for the month of June 2009.
